Dr. Syed Salman Hassan, Chairperson, Department of Management Sciences at Qarshi University, is a distinguished academic and professional with an extensive background in development planning and management, public administration, and various leadership roles. He earned his PhD in Development Planning & Management from University Sains Malaysia in 2014, after completing his Master of Public Administration from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. Dr. Hassan’s career spans over two decades, marked by significant contributions to academia and industry. Formerly, he served as the Deputy Director of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the Virtual University of Pakistan, where he spearheaded initiatives to cultivate a robust research culture, develop academia-industry linkages, and manage business incubation centers. His professional journey includes pivotal roles such as Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Sciences at the Virtual University, Regional Campus Manager, and Manager Operations at the Punjab Vocational Training Council. Dr. Hassan’s research interests encompass management, spiritual intelligence, public policy, and data analysis, with numerous publications in HEC recognized peer-reviewed journals. His commitment to education and research is further reflected in his involvement in significant projects, workshops, and conferences, underscoring his leadership in fostering academic excellence and innovation.
