MS Supply Chain Management

Introduction:

The Masters of Science program is a journey towards expansion and opportunity, as it helps academicians, managers and business leaders to think beyond the boundaries. It enables students to gain in-depth knowledge of business and to learn the tools and techniques required to excel in rapidly changing world.

The MS Supply Chain Management program is an extensive 2-year program designed at the intersection of business management fundamentals and supply chain functioning. The program will enable students to develop and enhance a comprehensive understanding of capabilities required to design, strategize and implement supply chain decisions that are critical to the seamless functioning of a supply chain. The Department of Management Sciences at Qarshi University intends to offer three specializations in the MS Supply Chain Management Program which are need of the hour for national and international Supply Chain Managers. These specializations are in Supply Chain Information Systems, Service Supply Chains and Supply Chain Risk Management.

Program Objectives:

The program shall equip students with:

• Managerial and leadership abilities to manage modern day supply chains.
• Analytical and quantitative decision-making skills
• The ability to cope with challenges to effectively managing supply chains.
• An understanding on the importance of integration and how to establish it for seamless material, information, and cash flow both in the forward and reverse chains
• An understanding of the importance of strategic supply chain relationships and how they impact business
• The ability to make important supply chain decisions such as —inventories, facilities, transportation, and coordination.

Eligibility Criteria

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, earned from a recognized university after a minimum of 16 years of education with at least 60 percent marks or a CGPA of at least 2.5/4.0 or equivalent. The students must have taken two courses in each of the main streams of Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Management.
• A minimum of 50% marks and at least 50 percentile rank in NTS GAT-General, GRE or GMAT.
