Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Qarshi (Chairman BoG)
Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Qarshi is the Chairman of Qarshi organization, which consists of Qarshi Industries (Pvt.) Ltd, Qarshi Research International, Qarshi R & D Division, Qarshi Herb Research Centre and Qarshi Foundation (Trust). He is also Chairman Board of Governors of Qarshi University. By qualification, he is a professional Chemical Engineer having passed his B.Sc. (Hons) Chemical Engineering and M.Sc. Chemical Engineering from University of the Punjab.
Mr. Qarshi is an entrepreneur par excellence. He established Qarshi Industries (Pvt.) ltd. in 1968 for the manufacturing of herbal medicines and herbal food products. The company has expanded over the years and now include Qarshi Research international, Qarshi brands etc. As part of his vision, which envisages Happy, Healthy Educated Pakistan he has established Qarshi Foundation for various philanthropic projects.
Dr. Misbah Iqbal Qarshi (Member)
Dr. Misbah Iqbal Qarshi is a qualified Physician and Surgeon from the country’s oldest and most prestigious medical institution-King Edward Medical University. She is the Executive Director of Qarshi Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. and involved in vision based strategic planning, board meetings and overseeing marketing and other communications. She is a member of Board of Trustees of Qarshi Foundation as well as member Board of Governors of Qarshi University.
Mr. Abdul Rashid Lone (Member) Vice Chancellor QU
Mr. Abdul Rashid Lone is a Chemical Engineer by profession. He completed his B.Sc. (Hons) Chemical Engineering and M.Sc. Chemical Engineering from University of the Punjab. He has to his credit over 50 years of experience of holding top technical and administrative positions. He has served as Managing Director Sui Northern Gas Pipelines limited (SNGPL), Managing Director Interstate Gas Company Limited (ISGCL) and Managing Director Dawood Hercules Limited.
He is currently working as Chief Executive Officer, Qarshi Foundation and Vice Chancellor, Qarshi University.
Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qureshi (Member)
Dr. Zafar Iqbal is distinguished Academician. He has over 40 years of experience as educationist in renowned institutions of Pakistan. Mr. Qureshi holds a PhD degree from University of Pittsburgh and MBA from American University of Beirut. He is an author of 4 books on various topics of Management Sciences that include Human Resource Management, Change Management and Role of NGO’s in Developing Countries.
At present, he is working as Chief of ASP-LUMS project and he is a member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
Prof. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari (Member)
Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari is a well established and decorated Scientist. He is DSc. Plant Molecular Systematics from Kyoto University Japan and a Postdoc from Japan International Research Center for Agriculture Sciences. In 2015, for his outstanding personal commitment to ethics and responsible conduct in science, he was declared the winner of 2015 “UNESCO Avicenna prize for ethics in science”. In recognition of his services, he was awarded best university teacher award by HEC and “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” by Government of Pakistan in 2011. In 2018, he was awarded “Sitara-e-Imtiaz” by Government of Pakistan in recognition of his services to science and technology.
Previously he has served as Vice Chancellor Kohat University of Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology Bannu and Qarshi University. At present, Prof. Dr. Zabta Khan Shinwari is Professor Emeritus at Quaid e Azam University Islamabad and he is member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
Prof. Dr. Wajid Ali (Member)
Prof. Dr. Wajid Ali is MBBS, FCPS, FCCP(USA). He is also member of Faculty Development Program Committee at Ripha International University. He is member of Academic Council of Qarshi University and Fatima Jinnah University. He has been awarded WHO Award for Health advocacy in 2006. He has received Chief of Army Staff commendation in 1993.
Besides being Member/ Chairman of different organizations at national and international level, he is Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Wajid Ali is Consultant Physician in hearts International Hospital, Rawalpindi. He is engaged in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervising postgraduate training and research since 1990 and he is member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
Mr. Pervez Ahmad Khan (Member)
Mr. Pervez Ahmad Khan is a highly ranked Chemical Engineer and Nuclear Technologist. In addition, he has professional trainings in manufacturing, bench marking, health safety and environment management from UK, France and USA. He started his career from Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) Pakistan. He successfully rose to the position of CEO, ICI power generation and culminated his career as senior vice president ICI. Mr. Khan remained member Board of Directors ICI Pakistan and trustee ICI foundation. He is also trustee, Qarshi foundation and member operation management committee Lahore businessperson association for rehabilitation of the disables (LABARD).
Mr. Khan is currently engaged as consultant to US Apparels group for company’s transformation to a modern enterprise and he is member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
Dr Farrukh Zaman (Member)
Dr. Farrukh Zaman completed his MBBS from University of the Punjab and his MCPS and FCPS from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. He is the President of South Asian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member executive board, International Federation of Gynecologist and Obstetricians (FIGO). Dr. Farrukh is also examiner to College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and College of Physician and Surgeons Bangladesh. At, Present, Dr Farrukh Zaman is Principal and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rasheed Latif Medical College, Lahore and he is member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
Vaid Muhammad Jamil Khan (Member) (Nominee of NCT)
Vaid Muhammad Jamil Khan obtained Master’s degree in History and Political Science and LLB from University of the Punjab. He is registered Class 1 Tabib and Vaid with National Tibb Council. Mr. Khan has been consecutively elected as member of National Tibb Council for three times. He is a writer of four books on the topic of History of Punjab and politics. In addition, he has many articles and research papers published in different journals and magazines at National and International levels.
At present, he is the Vice President of National Tibb Council and he is a member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
Ms. Neelum Hayat Malik (Member) MPA
Ms. Neelum Hayat Malik is a politician who has been a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab since August 2018. She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on a reserved seat for women in Pakistani general election, 2018. She is the member of various Committees that include Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering. She is member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
Mr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad (Member) MPA
Mr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmad is a politician who has been a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab since August 2018. He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Pakistani general election from Kasur, 2018. He is member Board of Governors, Qarshi University.
