Dr. Misbah Tanveer is an economist, policy analyst, and Associate Professor of Business and Economics at Qarshi University. She holds a Ph.D. in Business aand Economics from the University of Groningen, Groningen, the Netherlands, and has more than 15 years of experience in industry and academia. She remained affiliated with the State Bank of Pakistan, SDSB LUMS, CREESAW, and the University of Brunei in various capacities. Her teaching interests lie in the areas of macroeconomics, managerial economics, and business & entrepreneurship. Dr. Misbah remained extensively engaged in training and consultancy projects for various national & international agencies. She led the Pakistan Women Entrepreneurship Program in collaboration with American University, Washington, D.C. Her research mainly focuses on topics related to female labor force participation, entrepreneurship, gender issues, and discrimination faced by women and disadvantaged groups in labor markets. Her articles have been published in well-established peer-reviewed journals like the International Journal of Manpower, Applied Economics, Economic Systems, and the European Journal of Development Review, among others. She has presented her work at several conferences in the U.S., Europe, the United Kingdom, and South Asia.
