Dr. Maryam Ishaq is currently working at Department of Management Sciences and Commerce as Assistant Professor. She holds a diverse international experience of teaching under- and post graduate classes in Pakistan, United Arab Emirates and New Zealand in the areas of applied econometrics, applied macroeconomics, economic modeling for policy making, international trade and finance and economics of industrialized countries. She also has worked with Asian Development Bank at Public Finance and Trade Division (South Asia). She holds credible proficiency in empirical research and has got her scholarly work published in reputed international journals. On theoretical side, her areas of research focus are modeling the industry inefficiencies, macroeconomics of small open economies and regional economic growth patterns. She holds immense interest in empirical research on supply side explanations of real exchange rate volatility in emerging Asian economies and monetary and exchange rate policy coordination amongst developing and newly industrialized countries. She also serves Alphable Company Limited, New Zealand, as a senior academic consultant for designing and moderating tertiary and post graduate qualifications in various disciplines of business and management studies. She is one of the founding members of Applied Econometrics Focus Group, a newly established platform to train emerging researches (from all over the world) at advanced econometric analytical methods for economic/financial planning and policy making.
